ACHIEVING FINANCIAL FREEDOM
What's a topic that churches are scared to tackle in a comprehensive way? Money. They might speak about giving, but the full picture of saving, spending, and investing for the future is pretty personal. This art speaks to the journey: some steps that will help you find the freedom to invest in the things that matter.
DEVOTED
This first series of the year is an introduction to the topic of daily habits for Christians. Just as plants need light, it's the things you do on a regular basis that shape who you are.
THE BOOK OF ESTHER
"…And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this,"
ESTHER 4:14
For this series, we wanted to establish a clear historical setting for the story, so every Sunday guests could imagine where the story unfolded while listening to the message. My research started with Babylonian archaeological digs, looking for architectural clues I could incorporate. The resulting Esther motif and vector texture are based on the remaining walls of Persepolis.
THE BOOK OF RUTH
"May the Lord repay you for what you have done. May you be richly rewarded by the Lord, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge.”
RUTH 2:12
For this series, we went with a clean design where the focal point is custom lettering. The wheat stalk lettering lends a vintage flair with a nod to those who depend on the shaky security of the seasons for their livelihood (farmers).
THE FLAME
For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands. For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.

 2 TIMOTHY 1:6-7
This series' direction leaned into the superhero movie graphic trends. The neon inner stroke variations in the text are meant to evoke the feeling of staring into a burning fire.
THE BOOK OF JOB
Then the Lord said to Satan, "Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him;
he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil." "Does Job fear God for nothing?" Satan replied.
 JOB 1:8-9
No holds barred for drama when it comes to the book of Job. The Bible has many different kinds of writing: song, poetry, prophecy, genealogy, and historical accounts. Job is a book with a writing style that doesn't seem to fall under just one. Is it an account of something that actually took place or a piece of poetry? The art is designed to help the reader see Job as a real person who experienced real pain.
THE GOSPEL OF MARK
They were terrified and asked each other,
"Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey him!"
MARK 4:41
One of the most memorable pictures of Jesus in the New Testament is that of a person who is able to calm the storm. The account comes from the book of Mark. In some of the key art for the series, the text holds a storm within, in others, the calmed sea is shown outside the text.
